This Tiny Restaurant In Northern California Always Has A Line Out The Door, And There's A Reason Why

Usually, we like to avoid lines at all costs, but some things are just worth waiting for. Mama’s on Washington Square is just one of those places worth the wait. The San Francisco brunch hot-spot does not accept reservations, so you’ll have to line up if you want a table. And be prepared– this tiny restaurant has a line out the door.
Every weekend, Mama’s on Washington Square has a line out the door .
The wait can range from 40 minutes to well over an hour. Go during the week, if your schedule permits, to have the best chance for a short line. You can order online for pick-up but even for pick-up, expect a wait.
Be prepared to order before you are seated. Once inside, while you’re still in line, you will order and pay at the register.
When you are seated your drinks and food will be brought to your table. So do your research on the most loved items and check out the menu before you get inside.
Guests favorites include: Eggs Benedict, Monte Cristo sandwich, crumb cake, and French toast. These dishes are so good you'll see why this tiny restaurant has a line out the door!
The restaurant’s slogan is "breakfast all day and always with a smile". Mama’s also serves lunch. The lunch menu includes burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
Mama’s on Washington Square opened in 1964. The restaurant has always specialized in brunch foods, including omelets and baked goods.

baked goods and sometimes gift baskets from Mama’s.
