Another spirit is Arthur Goodwin, the nephew of the original Pike Place Market developer. His silhouette is often seen looking down from the window in Goodwin library or swinging a golf club in his old office. The "Fat Lady Barber" spirit was once a woman who sang lullabies to put her customers to sleep to steal their money. She died in the market when the floor gave way and maintenance workers have reported to this day that they can hear her softly singing lullabies while they’re cleaning at night.
