When winter rolls around, people all around the country start planning getaways to keep cabin fever at bay and to escape the monotonous schedule that inevitably settles in. Sometimes, locals choose a staycation, where they explore their hometown and surrounding area like tourists. Other times, they escape to warm places that offer an abundance of beaches and fruity drinks. One place that is definitely not worth visiting in the winter: St. Louis. Here’s why:

In a city like St. Louis, don't expect to find any superb public parks. I can't think of a single spectacular garden with a landscape that is transformed in the winter months.
7. St. Louis is just so gray and colorless and meh in the winter.
