Life in St. Louis is fun, and locals that have grown up immersed in its wonders know that better than anyone else. We also know, however, that many St. Louisans share common traits. It’s just a side effect of growing up in The Gateway City! One thing we also share is that we’d never be caught doing these ten things:

1. Eating un-toasted ravioli.

2. Driving around without a snow brush.

3. Praising a place like Chicago.

What have they ever done worth praising? You know, aside from giving the Cards a team to beat year after year.
4. ...or a place like Kansas City.

5. Giving directions without referencing a landmark or two.

With so many iconic structures all across the city, it is hard not to use them as reference points when providing directions.
6. Calling it Panera Bread.

7. Using our turn signals.

Of course you and I, dear reader, use our tun signals. It seems, however, as if all other local drivers think they're optional.
8. Greeting a person without asking which high school they attended.

9. Expressing surprise when the weather does not turn out as predicted.

It's more disappointment than surprise. We're used to unpredictable weather here, but it's always a bummer when it storms on what you had expected would be a sunny day.

10. Enjoying a single day without getting a catchy commercial jingle stuck in your head.

Longtime St. Louisans will chuckle, because these things have been normative to a St. Louisan way of life for decades. The only thing that has changed is the city’s splendor, which grows lovelier year after year.
