Because it’s jam-packed with so many attractions and so much to do, Branson might seem like an absolutely massive town. However, in reality, its population of just over 11,400 earns it status as a small town. And…a charming small town it is, bursting with a ton of fun things to do and so many outdoor attractions you won’t know where to start to explore. In fact, Branson has more outdoor attractions than just about any other small town in the state.
Branson attracts Missourians and tourists from all over the world with its impressive selection of activities, many of them outdoors. If you’re looking for outdoor fun, you can't go wrong with a trip to Branson.
Summertime means spending time at Table Rock Lake and, if you’re up for a beachy-type of day, make your way to Moonshine Beach. It’s perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and picnicking.
Sometimes, however, we just want to hang out at a good old-fashioned outdoor waterpark. Branson offers a few, including Splash Country Indoor & Outdoor Waterpark, Castle Rock Resort and Waterpark, and White Water.
If you’re in the mood for non-stop thrills and delicious eats, plan a visit to Silver Dollar City or one of the Track Family Fun Parks (there are four). Each promise a fun day and thrilling attractions.
Carve out time, too, for a ride on The Runaway Mountain Coaster, and go ziplining at one of the ziplining parks. Don't forget to plan a day at Promised Land Zoo.
Branson also offers quite a few outdoor activities that cost absolutely nothing to enjoy, like taking a ride along one of its bike trails or exploring a hiking trail.
With Table Rock Lake, Branson is the place to go for kayaking, canoeing and boating. You can also take a scenic tour aboard the Showboat Branson Belle for a one-of-a-kind view of Branson.
Do you agree that Branson has more outdoor attractions than any other place in the state? If not, what town do you think deserves that title? Let us know in the comments! Next time you’re on the hunt for a fun way to spend the day, hit the road on one of these unique day trips in Missouri.
