I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
While living in a big city can be fun, there are times where you want to escape from it all. To leave the hustle and bustle behind and be one with nature. To let go of modern technology and bask in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Luckily, there is one small town in the Evergreen State where this is possible. Kettle Falls is one of the best remote towns to live off grid in Washington, and you’ll fall in love with all that it has to offer.
With a population of less than 2,000 residents, Kettle Falls is the perfect place to unplug and unwind.
Tucked away on the banks of the Colville River near the confluence of the Columbia River, this secluded town is heaven on earth for all nature lovers.
While the town is small, there is lots to do during the year. There are festivals as well as lots of recreational activities like swimming, camping, hiking, fishing, boating, and so much more.
In addition, the remote town has great restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal. And of course, like most small towns, the people are friendly, and they will welcome you with open arms.
