Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). We feature a lot of summer festivals in Connecticut. Many of them take place in our larger cities, but the one we have in store for you today is in North Branford, a little farm town of about 14,000 people. The big annual event here is the Connecticut Potato and Corn Festival, which you might often hear affectionately referred to as the PoCo Fest. The event takes place annually the first weekend of August, with this year’s festival scheduled for August 4-6, 2023. This is one of the best family events of the summer in Connecticut, with plenty to do for all ages. Check it out:
