Black Market StP serves up some of the best barbecue in Minnesota, and yet it defies easy description. You’ll just have to order up some of its smoked meats and try them for yourself to see what we mean!
Although Black Market StP has a regular location where you can snap up its succulent smoked meats, it doesn't have an actual building.
Based on the orders it receives throughout the week, Black Market StP will slow smoke as much meat - ribs, brisket, pork shoulder, and bacon - as it thinks it will need for the week.
But it's the brisket. The perfectly tender and juicy and smoky brisket that put Black Market on the map and keeps folks lined up down by the river every Saturday.
You see, you place your order online earlier in the week, then on Saturday, 'que lovers from all around gather to pick up their orders, make new friends, listen to music, and enjoy some of the best smoked meats you'll find in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
It’s a barbecue experience that’s part of a long tradition of pop-up smokers in St. Paul – but you have to place your order on Black Market’s website early in the week, because it almost always sells out. Black Market’s Facebook page is the place to go for event information and updates. Kill some time browsing the vintage shops along Selby Avenue on the way down to pick up your barbecue feast.
Have you tried Black Market StP’s barbecue? Tell us about your experience in the comments. What are some other Minnesota eateries with food so good that it regularly sells out? Let us know!
