There’s something undeniably appealing about #RVlife. The ability to pick up and go, camp (or glamp) surrounded by the comforts of home… it’s a dream come true for outdoor enthusiasts. (And people like me who love being outside, but don’t necessary want to sleep outside.) Happily, you don’t need to invest in a home-on-wheels to experience everything RV camping has to offer; sites like RVshare give folks the opportunity to try before they buy by offering a bevy of RV rentals for every type of traveler. And we found the perfect place to test out your new digs, or show off your own beautiful camper: Camp Cedar Resort, an epic RV campground in Mason, Ohio, that’s basically the Disney World of RV resorts.
Picture this: you just spent a day of adrenaline-pumping thrills at Kings Island. You're happily tired, hungry, and in need of a place to rest up for *another* day of action-packed fun.
While Ohio's Largest Playground certainly boasts a ton of accommodations, Cedar Camp Resort might be the best, most inclusive, most well-appointed, of them all.
This all-inclusive resort *and* RV campground is the kind of epic place that can keep pace with the epic offerings of Ohio's Largest Playground. It's located just one mile from Kings Island, yet somehow, against all odds and reason, feels secluded and quiet... like your own special secret.
First up: accommodations. Curious about RV camping? This is the place to give it a go. RV sites are available in back-in and pull-through configurations and come with full hookup capability, including water, sewer, electric, and level with concrete or blacktop pads. All RV sites include a picnic table and grill, and most include a firepit.
Don't have an RV... yet? RVshare is your (ahem) hook up. This website literally lets you "choose your own" RV adventure, offering an array of rentals from which to choose. In addition, Camp Cedar offers RV rentals, too, in two different layouts and with accommodations for up to six.
Traveling with a larger group? You could certainly rent a larger RV... or book one of the resort's cozy cottages, which sleep up to eight guests!
Now that we've gotten our lodging squared away, it's time to enjoy all this RV resort has to offer. First up: the pools. There are two of them, although Deerfield Springs (pictured) is more of a miniature water park than mere pool! There are geysers and water features galore... and the best part? It's heated!
In need of a break from the kids... or interested in a kid-free RV camping experience, period? Cedar Camp Resort is it; namely, the adults-only Kingfisher Landing pool. Might we suggest a cabana rental and adult libation? It's vacation, after all!
When it comes time to dine, you have options. Whether you visit Cedar Camp's signature restaurant in Hornbeam Lodge, one of the food-truck inspired eateries on Belize Street, or prefer to fire up an on-site grill at your RV campsite, there's something for every taste, dietary need, and craving here.
Personally, I can't think of anything tastier than a piping hot pizza by the pool!
