I’m going to be honest with you – there aren’t an overwhelming amount of places you can go to see fall foliage in Florida. We don’t have the same transformation other states have, especially up north. Florida maple, sweetgum, crape myrtles, black gums, coral, and cypress trees undergo a transformation of their leaf colors, typically reaching their peak in mid to late November. The majority of these captivating autumn hues can be observed in the Panhandle and the vicinity of Duval County. Nevertheless, scattered pockets of fall colors can also be found further to the south. One such place is Flying Eagle Preserve in Inverness, Florida. Come see for yourself the golden hues that overtake the area, turning it into a little-known scenic spot with fall color.
