Fun family activities abound during the fall, and you’ll find no shortage of festivals, corn mazes, and more. One of my favorite things to do in fall is visit a pumpkin patch in Georgia, and we have plenty of great ones to visit. Due to the climate, most pumpkin farms here are located in North Georgia’s cooler mountain air, but down towards our southern regions, you’ll find Poppell Farms, the largest pumpkin patch in South Georgia. It’s tucked away in Odum, a little town in Wayne County with a population of under 500. Poppell Farms is a great seasonal attraction that offers a summertime market, Christmas trees in the winter, and, of course, a wonderful pumpkin patch and other autumn activities during the fall months. The 2023 Fall Fest at Poppell Farms runs on weekends from September 30 through October 29, 2023. Check it out:

Doesn’t this pumpkin patch in South Georgia look like so much fun? You can learn more from the Poppell Farms website. Make sure to check the Events page of the website, where you’ll find special scheduled days like the Sensory Sensitivity Day and Halloween Party. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Odum is a quiet little town not too far from the Altamaha River. This is a beautiful area if you’re looking for a peaceful escape! Make sure to check out the great vacation rental homes near Odum, GA, available on Vrbo.
