To start, it’s Georgia’s apple capital. For starters, you'll need to experience the town's claim to fame: apples. A drive down Route 52, also known as Apple Alley, will reveal a treasure trove of everyone's favorite fall fruit.

Of course, you can't miss the Georgia Apple Festival, which takes place in Ellijay every October.
