I don’t know about you, but when the weather starts to get chilly, I start dreaming of, well, chili. There’s nothing like digging into a warm bowl of chili when it’s cold or rainy out, and it’s something I find myself fantasizing about even in the dead of summer. It’s no secret that we have some great restaurants in Georgia, and chili is a common occurrence on many menus. Whether you like it vegetarian, beefy, with beans, spicy, or sweet, you’ll find this Tex-Mex dish frequently appears in cooking competitions. One restaurant in Atlanta has won several state-wide chili cook offs and has arguably the best chili in Georgia: Park 82.

Chomp and Stomp Chili Cook-Off and Bluegrass Festival/Facebook
The Chomp & Stomp Festival is held each November in Atlanta's Cabbagetown neighborhood. Park 82's chef, Aaron Jones, has won the chili competition here in past years.
Jones also has won multiple editions of the Atlanta Chili Cook-Off, held in Dunwoody.
