Here in Idaho, there are a handful of beaches that make for an incredible summer day. From Lake Coeur d’Alene to Bear Lake, we have several favorite places in the Gem State where we love to dig our toes in the sand. There is one hidden gem beach tucked away in northern Idaho that makes for the perfect family destination — Honeysuckle Beach. With beautiful sand, a boat launch, fishing dock, picnic tables, and more, it’s one area where you can easily make summer memories with those you love.
Honeysuckle Beach is Hayden, Idaho’s own public beach. Hayden is a beautiful town located in Kootenai County near Coeur d’Alene.
Honeysuckle Beach is located along Honeysuckle Bay on Hayden Lake. This lake is known for its clear waters and its gorgeous forested shores.
In fact, when you spend the day at Honeysuckle Beach, I recommend you spend a few minutes sitting and admiring the scenery that surrounds you — it’s absolutely stunning.
Honeysuckle Beach is one of the best places to enjoy Hayden Lake. In fact, this is only one of two public accesses to Hayden Lake and it’s a true hidden gem.
Don’t forget a picnic as you can sit at one of the picnic tables and have a meal. During the summer, there is also a concession stand if you simply want a tasty snack. Honeysuckle Beach also offers additional amenities like a volleyball court, public restrooms, and more.
Spend some time outdoors, in the sand, and on the water, at Honeysuckle Beach in Hayden. It may be one of our favorite summertime gems in northern Idaho.
